Cees Braakman (1917-1995) was (from 1945 to 1978) head of the Pastoe design team and was responsible for the development of the first modern Pastoe furniture line. Moreover, he created a clear and coherent collection of furniture conceived as functional objects, which put Pastoe on the map.
